A designer/developer has created an iPhone app that recreates the UI of a click wheel iPod Classic, right down to haptic feedback and click sounds … Elvin Hu blended it with a Cover Flow album view above the click wheel. He tweeted a short video of the app (below), which is still a work in progress, and told The Verge what inspired the project. I must say that the combination of click wheel iPod Classic UI and Cover Flow works well....

A Reddit thread has suggested that Apple’s Weather app is censoring air quality data in China when it reaches unhealthy or hazardous levels. The Air Quality Index (AQI) rates air quality on a scale from 0 (best) to 500 (worst), with values of 151-200 rated Unhealthy, 201-300 Very Unhealthy and 301-500 Hazardous. At the Unhealthy level, people are advised to avoid strenuous outdoor activity, while all outdoor activity is best avoided at Hazardous levels....
The NY Times reports that the Chinese government has adopted a set of supposed cybersecurity regulations on western companies selling technology to banks. These requirements are so absurd that it would be impossible for companies like Apple to comply. The paper reports that while the regulations are so far limited to sales to Chinese banks, they are merely the first in a series of new cybersecurity policies expected to be introduced in the coming months, and businesses fear that they are designed to protect local manufacturers from western companies....
