Directed by Clint Eastwood, the drama film explores the life and times of man who was wrongfully accused of plotting the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, a pipe bomb explosion killed one person and injured 111 others. Jewell, a security guard, initially reported a backpack containing the bombs, allowing for authorities to clear out the area....
Mac and iOS development team Panic announced today in a company blog post that the next major version of its Coda web development tool would not be coming to the Mac App Store. The reason? App Store apps need to be sandboxed (a security feature in OS X that doesn’t let apps modify data outside of their designated “sandboxes”), and Coda 2.5 simply doesn’t work as a sandboxed app. According to Panic, Apple worked with the developers as much as possible to provide temporary exemptions and workarounds that could help alleviate some of the issues encoutered, but ultimately the decision was made to only release the update through the Panic website....
I wrote yesterday that Apple’s Q4 guidance would give a big clue about iPhone 8 timing, but that it might not be easy to decode. I said that one of the three possible scenarios would give the clearest steer: a guidance range significantly higher than normal for a ‘tock’ year. In that event, it would send a clear message that the iPhone 8 will go on sale in September, with at least enough availability to show up in the financials....
