A Chinese carrier has sent out an interesting photo on its Weibo feed earlier today, as spotted by iGen.fr. The note very clearly alludes to an as-yet-unannounced red iPhone color, with a pun of the word Ready. Following an earlier report today from the Korean newspaper DongA, CNBC now corroborates the partnership between Apple and Hyundai/Kia Motors. According to the new report, both companies are close to finalizing a big deal that will lead to the manufacture of the long-rumored “Apple Car.” Last month, Hyundai Motor confirmed that the company was in talks with Apple, although it did not reveal the reasons behind it. The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, an international coalition of 35 children’s and consumer groups, is calling on Instagram to stop its plans to create a version of the app for users under age 13. The WSJ reports that authorities in China are investigating claims that two of Apple’s suppliers – Foxconn and UniMicron – are releasing water polluted by heavy metals into local rivers. Apple initially unveiled the AirPods, Apple’s truly-wireless earbuds, alongside the iPhone 7 in September with the intention to ship in late October. However, the company delayed the launch at the last minute citing it needing extra time to finish up the product. A new availability date was not given as part of Apple’s official statement, however a report from Economic Daily News (via Digitimes) is suggesting it will be a while, with suppliers not expecting AirPods to begin shipping until next year, in January 2017....
