For those of you who enjoy a little Chrome in your iOS experience, Google updated Chrome today with some nice social-sharing features. Posting to Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus are all included with the ability to push pages to the email application. The additions start to bring Chrome up to par with Apple’s Mobile Safari, which still benefits from speed due to an optimized Nitro engine that sandboxed apps do not have access to....

Coach today has released some updated Apple Watch band options and brought some brand new bands to its fall lineup. As spotted by Haute Écriture, Coach has released the Strap with Camo Print (actually more of a varied brown coloring) and the Strap with Sharky. As for bands with new color options, the Strap with Tea Rose is now available in Heather Gray and the Strap with Prints comes in Black Multi or Melon....

Humphries spoke with ZDNet after the company’s afternoon report of Q4 revenue that was in line with Wall Street’s expectations, and a profit that was higher than expected, and an outlook that was in line with exepectations. Cognizant declined slightly in late trading following the report. Humphries noted several metrics of the quarter that “in a sense, were firsts” for the company, and with which he was “delighted,” he told ZDNet....

Columbo season 10 episode “A Bird In The Hand” subverted the show’s established formula by hiding the killer’s identity until the end. The character of Columbo made his debut in an episode of anthology The Chevy Mystery Show, where he was played by Bert Freed. Columbo would later reappear in TV movie Prescription: Murder played by Peter Falk (The Princess Bride), who would make the rumpled detective an icon. Falk’s original performance differed slightly from the eventual TV show, with the character being more aggressive than the subdued, thoughtful Columbo fans would come to know and love....

Two further patent applications published today and spotted by Patently Apple show that Apple continues to explore the idea of bringing a Watch-style Digital Crown to the iPad and iPhone. The original patent application was published back in July, and the two additional ones published today further refine the idea. Apple has generally been moving away from physical controls on iDevices, the iPhone 7 replacing the mechanical Home button with a touch-sensitive one, and the iPhone 8 rumored to be embedding it into the display....

The Israeli forensics firm Cellebrite revealed this week that it now has the ability to unlock any iOS device that’s running up to iOS 12.3. The firm made the announcement on Twitter, touting a new version of its Universal Forensic Extraction Device. On the webpage for the new UFED Premium, Celebrate touts that it’s the only solution for law enforcement agencies looking to “unlock and extract crucial mobile phone evidence from all iOS and high-end Android devices....

Avengers: Endgame co-writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely believe a Chris Evans MCU return would ultimately hurt the film. Released this past April, Endgame marked the culmination of the Infinity Saga, reuniting the Original Six Avengers for a final mission together. One of the goals of the film was to give those characters proper sendoffs, concluding their individual arcs after a decade’s worth of stories. In Captain America’s case, he decided to remain in the past after returning the Infinity Stones to their right places, finally sharing that dance with Peggy Carter....

Retailers are still dealing with supply chain challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so Australians are being advised not to delay their Christmas shopping until the last minute. On Monday, the Australian Retailers Association, representing over 50,000 shopfronts, asked buyers to plan their shopping to prevent disappointment. Tightened Covid restrictions in China, as well as the temporary closure of one of the world’s busiest ports, have prompted deep worry about the impact on global supply chains, according to Australian Retailers Association’s chief executive Paul Zahra....

We’re not sure why but everyone seems to be jumping on the “Chome is now available for Mac” story. A few points: It is still a not-ready-for-prime-time version. Sergey Brin isn’t even using it on Mac (but is on Linux) It has been publically available for a month, the only difference is that Google put a pretty download page up yesterday and it has the Chrome tag. It still isn’t nearly complete feature-wise....

Chuwi has a new product which comes with an incredibly thin and lightweight product known Chuwi LapBook Air. The latest Lapbook Air from Chuwi is an ultra-thin laptop with just 6mm thick and weighing around 1.3kg that clearly reminiscent of the Apple MacBook Air in appearance, but apparently not in force. The company reveals that it uses IPS LCD panel 14.1 “Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with the brightness of 320 cd / m², which provides the user with viewing angle of 178 °, fast response time and very accurate colors....

Fans have their eyes on Castle Rock season 3 but have been left in the dark on any of the details. There are certainly enough people clamoring for it, but will it happen? As of right now, Castle Rock season 3 hasn’t been renewed. What’s more concerning is that Craig Erwich, Hulu’s SVP of Scripted Originals, recently stated in an interview that, “[Hulu] has not made any further decisions” on renewing the series for a third season....

After years of complaints from users, yesterday Apple officially acknowledged issues with its Butterfly keyboard design on MacBook and MacBook Pro models dating back to early 2015. The company introduced a new repair program, offering to fix faulty MacBook keyboards for free. It also said it is refunding customers who paid for similar repairs in the past. The issue with the repair program, however, is that Apple is simply swapping the faulty keyboard for a keyboard with the same Butterfly design....

Despite initial skepticism, Face ID has turned out to be widely praised and accepted, even after just a week of iPhone X availability. In a poll we ran over the weekend, 61 percent of readers said they have found Face ID to be an adequate successor to Touch ID and that they see it as the “future” of biometric technology. We’ve already heard reports of Face ID making its way to the iPad Pro next year, but you also have to think it’s coming to the Mac lineup at some point as well....

Viewers have been spellbound by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, right from the theme song’s first eerie note. Based on characters from Archie Comics, this Netflix original series is the second TV depiction of the enchanting Sabrina Spellman. The first was the hit ’90s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It was light and wholesome, giving the audience a cauldron of laughs complete with magical hijinks and talking cat. On the flip side, Sabrina offers a deliciously darker take on its beloved source material....

On Sunday, news broke that Bill Paxton had passed away at the age of 61. The veteran actor died from complications from surgery. Best known for his roles in blockbusters like Aliens, True Lies, and Titanic, Paxton had appeared in nearly 100 movies and TV shows across his 30-year career. His most recent credits included turns in History Channel miniseries Texas Rising, Vince Vaughn-fronted action dramedy Term Life, and CBS reboot Training Day, which only debuted earlier this month....

Google is today rolling out Chrome 40 for iOS and with it introducing a redesigned UI, OS X Handoff support, and optimizations for iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Google is giving the entire app for both iPhone and iPad an overhaul based on its new “Material Design” design language introduced with its latest Android release. That includes “bold graphics, fluid motion, and tactile surfaces,” according to Google, as pictured in the iPhone screenshots above....
