Chevrolet has announced today that they are offering a new unlimited plan for U.S. Chevrolet owners who have an in-vehicle OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The unlimited option will also be available standard for all new Chevrolet models. The new plan is priced at $20/month with service provided by AT&T. Chevrolet is claiming to be the first major automaker to offer an unlimited in-vehicle data plan. The automaker shared interesting data about its customers who have been using the OnStar LTE hotspot in Chevrolet vehicles over the last few years....

Christian Bale will re-team with his American Hustle director David O. Russell on a new film before starring in Thor: Love and Thunder. Bale recently joined the cast of Taika Waititi’s MCU sequel in an undisclosed role, which marked something of a departure for the actor. Outside of playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, Bale’s largely steered clear of big-budget tentpole fare (with few exceptions like Terminator Salvation) and instead focused his efforts on auteur-driven prestige pictures....

Techcrunch is reporting that the first releases of ChromeOS, the “mostly just a browser running on Linux OS” from Google is set to launch within a week. The major work continues to be driver support which spreads out among PC makers’ many components and manufacturers. The new OS will initially target netbooks with a particular aim to give Windows XP users something besides a crippled, expensive Windows 7 to upgrade....

My first exposure to the Mac was around 2000 at a local computer shop in Georgia. My granddad was shopping for his first computer after the college where he taught started requiring internet access at home. I didn’t actually see an iMac, just a colorful poster that caught my 10-year-old eye… We ended up taking home a Hewlett-Packard personal computer that day. I didn’t actually see an Apple computer in person until around 2008 when my high school populated our library with iMacs....

Filmmakers Cary Fukunaga and Nicole Kassell will adapt The Last of the Mohicans for Paramount TV. In Michael Mann’s 1992 feature film adaptation, Daniel Day-Lewis starred in the main role. In recent years, Kassell has directed episodes of Westworld and Castle Rock, along with the upcoming Watchmen pilot, and Fukunaga is currently filming Bond 25. Mann’s The Last of the Mohicans is well-known in pop culture, but it’s based on James Fenimore Cooper’s 1826 novel of the same name....

China is reportedly using Twitter bots to promote Mulan after Hong Kong backlash. The new live-action remake of Disney’s hit 1998 animated feature, Mulan, is due to arrive in theatres next spring. Several new enhancements have surfaced in the latest developer version of Google’s Chrome browser. As previously announced, the software now respects Apple’s multitouch gesturing philosophy in OS X Lion. This means you can flick your finger left or right on your Magic Mouse (or two fingers on a trackpad) to advance and go back in your history. Unfortunately, the browser won’t yet let you double-tap or pinch to smoothly zoom in and out of web pages iPhone-style, like Safari on Lion....

Qualcomm today announced that it is working with Microsoft to bring support for Windows 10 its Snapdragon line of processors. The Snapdragon chips have primarily been used in mobile devices and the support for Windows 10 is a first for ARM-based processors. This brings the question, why isn’t Apple working to bring macOS support to its Ax line of processors? Or is it working on it as we speak? While Qualcomm and Microsoft didn’t specify a timetable for bringing Windows support to Snapdragon processors, they did note that Windows 10 PCs powered by the ARM processors will support x86 Win32 and universal Windows apps....

With this promo, however, you’ll receive a $5 bonus when reloading with Apple Pay....

Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White, quoted in Business Insider, had both bad news and good for Apple in his talks with smartphone vendors during a tour of China and Taiwan, claiming disappointment with sales of the iPhone 5s but big hopes for the iPhone 6. White doesn’t have the greatest record of reliability (he’s the guy who told us the Apple television set was launching last year, with an iRing controller), but lower than anticipated iPhone 5s sales does seem consistent with the rather muted comments made by China Mobile chairman Xi Guohua last month....
