Sony has moved its Charlie’s Angels reboot back to avoid opening on the same day as Paramount’s Terminator: Dark Fate. The Charlie’s Angels brand kicked off with the original TV series in 1976, and revolves around a team of female super-detectives who report to their enigmatic boss, Charlie Townsend. The Terminator, meanwhile, got started in 1984 with James Cameron’s sci-fi action-thriller of the same name. A new poster for the rebooted Child’s Play features everyone’s favorite killer doll Chucky doing away with Woody from Toy Story 4. Released in 1988, the original Child’s Play introduced the world to Chucky, a kid’s doll possessed by the soul of an executed serial killer. Chucky would return in a run of sequels of varying degrees of quality, ending with 2017’s Cult of Chucky. With the original incarnation of Chucky having run his course in movies (though that Chucky is set to return in a TV series, with Brad Dourif returning to voice the character), the character is getting a reboot in 2019’s Child’s Play....
Cisco is developing a way Flash and the iPhone iOS can co-exist peacefully — a network-based solution that will sort out video off the device for playback on a device. Speaking to Computerworld, Marthin De Beer, senior vice president of emerging technologies, said, “We have a solution for Steve’s problem,” [with Flash]. The company — which incidentally licensed the iOS trademark it owns for use by Apple — is putting together a network-based technology called the Media Experience Engine....

Popular iOS app CARROT Weather has released an update that brings users more features, including a refreshed weather maps design with a dozen layers, storm tracking, forecast sharing, and more. First up is a totally new redesign of the weather maps. Altogether there are 12 layers including: future radar, tropical storms, lightning strikes, visibility, wind speed, snow depth, and more. The teaser trailer for season 2 of Hulu’s Castle Rock turns Lizzy Caplan into a misery machine. The anthology series is loosely tied to a larger Stephen King universe, one that takes place largely within the limits of the titular fictional town, where many of King’s novels and stories were set.
