Season 8 of Chicago Fire is set to bring in more fireworks with the guest appearance of Gabby Dawson later on. But still, that doesn’t mean our main cast of characters hasn’t been through the wringer themselves. With the loss of Otis, the members of House 51 have found themselves in a bit of a personal and emotional rut. With 8.5 seasons under their belt, the time has come for some characters to possibly move on and others to grow....

Children of Morta will probably get some substantive updates in the coming months, but it currently pales in comparison to other action roguelikes and won’t hold most gamers’ attention for too long. Crowd-funding and pixel-art-led games go hand in hand. Platforms like Kickstarter have introduced fans to wildly ambitious, gorgeous creations unrelated to publisher interest, and we have a bevvy of modern-day treasures as a result: games like Moon Hunters, Songbringer, Hyper Light Drifter, and Wizard of Legend....

The host of The Bachelor, Chris Harrison, revealed that “something’s not done between” the star of the new season, Peter Weber and his former lover and Bachelorette, Hannah Brown. The host hinted that Hannah and Peter’s saga will continue beyond the premiere episode. Last summer Hannah was cast as the star of season 15’s The Bachelorette. Fans watched as she struggled to pick between the final three contestants: Jed Wyatt, Tyler Cameron, and Peter Weber....

We’ve heard a lot of rumors about a next-gen iPad coming sometime in 2012, whether it’s summer or earlier in the year was still up in the air. In addition to backing up rumors of a display with a much higher resolution than current models, Citi analyst Richard Gardner (via BusinessInsider) told clients today that “several sources” have confirmed the next-gen iPad will launch in February saying, “there do not appear to be any significant technical hurdles remaining”....

CMD is also known as the Command Shell. In fact, people most often refer to it as just ‘command’. It’s a tool within Windows that allows users to perform tasks by typing letters and words. New string files found in this release suggests that the TV app is likely arriving in Brazil soon, since the app has never supported Brazilian Portuguese before. This could coincide with the release of Apple Pay in the country, as announced by Tim Cook in the latest earnings call....

Code spotted inside the main Facebook app contains some pointers to plans by the company to launch a new chat app aimed specifically at teens. The app, whose actual or working name is Talk, looks set to contain some features likely to prove popular with teens, and others not so much … Engadget spotted the report in The Information, with one comment suggesting some of the ways Facebook is hoping to persuade teens to make the switch from Snapchat – described as the messaging app to beat for this age-group....

Chrisley Knows Best’s Todd Chrisley and wife Julie Chrisley settle their $2.1 million fraud allegations. The Georgia Department of Revenue agreed on a settlement of $150,000. Todd, who is a wealthy Georgia real estate mogul and reality TV host, is a self-made millionaire. There was a 12-count indictment issued against Todd and Julie - which includes charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States....

Way back in November, CBS Chief Executive Officer Les Moonves told investors on an earnings call: Fast forward to this weekend when the Hollywood Reporter caught up to Moonves at a FUCLA conference: Yeah, that is not much new, but the point is that CBS still is not going to be partnering with Apple any time soon. State-owned China Unicom, the world’s third-largest carrier and Apple’s sole iPhone partner in the country, has dropped both the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 model and will be introducing the 8GB iPhone 4 later this month. The move comes in anticipation of the iPhone 4S launch on the China Unicom network, due by the year’s end. iPhone 4S is currently pending regulatory approval in the country. The move would indicate that China Unicom will focus on the new iPhone 4S and carry the 8GB iPhone 4 as an inexpensive entry-level handset....

China has today shared that it will be offering a temporary tax exemption for foreign companies. This news comes a week after the US tax overhaul passed through Congress. The New York Times reports that China announced the new tax break for foreign companies, but with limited details. The exemption will be retroactive from January 1, 2017. The government also shared the main caveat. To receive the tax exemption for earnings, businesses must reinvest the money into an approved sector such as technology, railways, agriculture, and mining....

A new report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners today highlights the continued success of the iPhone SE in Apple’s lineup. Furthermore, the CIRP data shows Apple Stores, both online and in-store, accounting for a higher percentage of iPhone sales this year. The report explains that the 2020 iPhone SE accounted for 22% of all iPhone sales in the United States during the third quarter. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max accounted for 64% of US iPhone sales during the quarter....
